About

The Presidential Scholars Program promotes student growth and self-discovery through peer mentoring, networking, academic and social events, community service, academic experiences outside the classroom, and interaction with keynote speakers. Its goal is to encourage and enable Presidential Scholars to push the limits of their potential at Iowa and beyond. While the scholarship focuses on academic achievement and leadership, the goals of the program are to better prepare our scholars for the University of Iowa and the world by:

 •  Encouraging exceptional academic ability

 •  Practicing integrity in scholarship, service, and leadership

 •  Developing intellectual curiosity

 •  Committing to community/reciprocity

 •  Appreciating and respecting difference(s)
